What do you need?

  • A new system

Fob, card or keypad entry for one door or a whole building, with maglocks or solenoid bolts.

  • A repair

Readers, keypads, exit buttons, emergency releases and power supplies that have failed.

  • User changes

Fobs added and removed when tenants move or staff leave. A lost fob is switched off, not the whole system.

If someone else fitted your system, tell us the make of the reader or controller. Some systems need the original installer’s software.

  • We rang Power Lock & Security when we discovered that we had lost both keys for our summerhouse. Their communications were excellent. They arrived at the agreed time and within 15 minutes the door had been opened the lock changed, and we were presented with 5 keys. If you want speedy service and quality work, look no further.

  • I absolutely recommend Power Lock & Security. Liam provided a great service, took the time and extra care to make sure our new door buzzer worked properly whilst ensuring we were happy with the buzzer and handset speaker volume at both ends. 5 stars!

  • We've had Liam out twice now. Both times were almost emergencies. He was prompt, efficient, and very reasonably priced. The second visit was ongoing issues with two different doors, which he diagnosed and sorted in no time at all! Highly recommend

  • Liam came this week to fix a faulty door entry system. The different repair options were clearly explained, and the problem was sorted out quickly and for a fair price, which was clearly stated up-front. Very happy customer.

FAQs

Common questions

Need help now? Phone 0131 358 9585.

Can you take over a system someone else installed?

Tell us the make and model of the controller or reader. Some systems can be serviced by any engineer; others need the original installer’s software or codes. We will tell you which yours is.

What happens to a maglock in a power cut?

A maglock releases when it loses power, so nobody is trapped inside. A backup battery in the power supply can keep it locked through a short cut.

Can fobs be added to our door entry system?

Often. Many door entry panels take a built-in fob reader, so residents use a fob and visitors still call the flat. See door entry systems.

Planning fob or keypad entry?

Phone us with the number of doors and who uses them.
